Introductory learning circle
Three hour learning circle (online)
Cost $400

Our introductory restorative justice learning circle will be facilitated by two co-facilitators.

This introductory learning circle will provide an initial introduction to restorative justice principles and process. This workshop can be attended by people with relatively little experience in processes or roles that directly relate to the response to sexual harm but who have an interest to learn more about restorative justice.

Each of the learning circle formats will be limited to up to 15 people. The limited number and format of the learning circles:

  • reflects the principles of restorative justice which is based on the building of trusted and meaningful relationship and open dialogue.

  • actively supports and encourages shared listening/voice for all participants.

  • centres on reflective and mutual learning about the principles and practice of restorative justice, how they can be applied to respond to harm, and moves away from a strict model where facilitators “teach”.

  • is based on a model where contributions and reflections about concepts and issues are sought before the theory/models of practice are explored.

Training for schools, workplaces and organisations

Sexual abuse impacts all communities, organisations, schools and our society as a whole. Responding to sexual abuse and understanding the impact on those harmed and those responsible is everyone’s responsibility.

Transforming Justice Australia can support the needs of your community, organisation, school or company to develop learning and knowledge opportunities to support restorative responses to address sexual abuse or other related harms.

We provide training in restorative practices and work closely with a range of organisations to build understanding and awareness of restorative practices and how they can be situated to support the needs of those harmed.

Working collaboratively to support individual and organisational learning needs

Our practice team have deep experience in restorative practices, training and facilitation.

We provide training and workshops for organisations and communities in restorative practices.

Our team have experience in familial, youth, institutional and other contexts of sexual abuse and regularly provide workshops, training and seminars in sexual abuse, responses and developing restorative practices to meet the needs of those harmed and the community right.

We welcome organisations and individuals to contact us to discuss your training needs and how we might help support you.

Funding model

All profits following payment of the costs associated with running the facilitation will be put back into the organisation to fund our restorative justice engagement and facilitation with survivors of sexual harm.

We would also invite voluntary contributions to be made to Transforming Justice as such costs directly offset the costs involved in providing restorative justice to survivors of sexual abuse and their families.

Registering your interest

We would be grateful if you could register your interest with our learning coordinator Anna Tydd by
